How to Vote in the November 3, 2026 Election — Step-by-Step (Los Angeles County)

Your vote helps shape the future of Claremont’s schools. Whether this is your first time voting or you just need a quick refresher, this page is here to guide you through each step.

Step 1: Confirm Your Voter Registration

✔️ You must be registered to vote to receive a mail-in ballot and participate in this election.
✔️ Last day to register to receive a vote-by-mail ballot:October 19, 2026

What to do now:

  • Verify you live in District 1

  • Check your registration status online

  • Register or update your address if needed

  • If you miss the October 19 deadline, you can still conditionally register and vote at a Vote Center during the early voting period or on Election Day.

Step 2: Watch for Your Ballot

📬 Ballots and sample ballot booklets will be mailed by early October 2026

Reminder:

  • All registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail unless you choose to vote in person

  • Sample ballots preview your choices before you vote

Step 3: Return Your Ballot or Vote in Person

You have options — choose what works best for you:

Vote by Mail

  • Return your ballot by mail before Election Day

  • Ballots must be postmarked by November 3, 2026

  • Return as early as possible for peace of mind

    OR

 Vote In Person

  • Early Voting at Vote Centers: typically open October 24 – November 3, 2026 (exact dates vary) 

  • Election Day Voting:Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at any Vote Center in Los Angeles County

  • Vote centers open countywide and allow you to:

    • Drop off your ballot

    • Vote in person

    • Register to vote or update registration if needed

  • Poll Hours on Election Day: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
